Biscuit Mix

Item number: Biscuit Mix

Description

Biscuit mix is a palatable high energy dry blend manufactured at a FEMAS approved site using co-products from the human food industry. Biscuit mix is an open dry blend which mixes well with forage to reduce sorting at feed-out.

Nutritional Attributes

Biscuit mix provides a good source of fermentable energy in the form of starch and sugar. The nutritional profile makes Biscuit mix especially useful when used in grass silage based rations with the aim of finishing cattle at the optimum cost efficiency. It can also be used to increase the FME of dairy diets and improve milk yield and milk protein content. Biscuit mix can be fed in Partial or Total mixed rations. It is formulated using quality co-products to provide a high level of starch and sugar. Biscuit mix is a high energy feed which can replace cereals in the diet and increase animal performance. It is particularly suited to finishing beef cattle, but can also be used in dairy diets.

Inclusion Rate

Dairy Up to 4 kg/head/day.

Storage and Handling

Biscuit mix is a dry blend which can be stored in open feed bays ready to include in the mix. It is best mixed with other feeds or included in a TMR due to its high starch, sugar and oil content. Recommended to use within one month of delivery depending on storage conditions.
